Growth of single-crystalline KNbO3 nanostructures
Article Abstract:
A report on the growth of highly uniform KNbO3 nanowires exhibiting a narrow diameter distribution around 60nm and a length-to-width ratio upto 100 is presented. In a systematic study of the synthesized nanowires results indicated that highly uniform single-crystalline nanowires form within a narrow window of the ternary phase diagram of KOH-Nb2O5-H2O.

Vibrational spectra of [C.sub.60].[C.sub.8][H.sub.8] and [C.sub.70].[C.sub.8][H.sub.8] in the rotor-stator and polymer phases
Article Abstract:
The infrared and Raman spectra of [C.sub.60].[C.sub.8][H.sub.8] and [C.sub.70].[C.sub.8][H.sub.8] in their rotor-stator and polymer phases are described. The results have shown a photopolymerization reaction on illumination with green or blue light, which has accounted for the laser wavelength dependence of the Raman spectra.

Hydrogenation of carbon nanotubes and graphite in liquid ammonia
Article Abstract:
The preparation, structure and thermal stability of hydrogenated carbon nanotubes is described. The study concluded that both multiwall and single-wall nanotubes a well as graphite can be chemically hydrogenated via a dissolved metal reduction method in liquid ammonia.
